Abstract
The article explores the role and functions of the image of dzheguako and the related elements of national game culture in the mythopoetic context of the Adyghe contemporary novel. The author defines the archetypal basis of the image of dzheguako and analyzes structural and semantic features of dances, wedding merrymakings, chapsch and youth competitions in a descriptive narrative of the considered novels. The conclusion about importance of dzheguako and ceremony of merrymakings in reproduction of a national picture of the world is drawn.
